A loyal friend laughs at your jokes when they're not so good, and sympathizes with your problems when they're not so bad.  ~Arnold H. Glasgow

Feeling grateful for a true friend, who I can call day or night. No judgements, just love and support. THANK YOU.

Kadence Rose

Today would have been my sweet niece Kadence's 8th birthday.  She was a brave little girl who indured so much pain in her 10 short weeks of life. You can read about Kadence's story here.

My sister threw a little party for her and Mae requested that her aunt Kylee make an angel cake for her sister who is a angel in heaven :)

The last couple of years my sister has put together projects in remeberence of Kadence to help other families who have newborns in the NICU at Primary Children's Hospital.  This year we are going to make blankets, and I can't wait.  It feels so good to be able to help those who are suffering and let them know there are others out there who are thinking of them.

My favorite picture of Kadence. She couldn't stop staring at the ceiling; I know there was someone there helping her through her struggle.
I love and miss you.

I passed!

Well it's official, I'm a CNA! I am now certified to wipe asses and clean up vomit. Who would have thought that it takes a month of training in order to legally perform those tasks?  Although being a nurse's assistant isn't glamorous, it has helped me realize that I am headed in the right direction. Now on to the job hunt...

I'm still alive, I think.

It's been a while, but  here's a short recap of what I've been up to....

I quit my job at Kneaders!  After 3 years there I decided it was time for a change. It was a good job and I learned a lot from working there, but I am so happy I never have to take anymore orders for Turkey Bacon Avocados.

I started my second semester at SLCC which is going good. I only have two more classes to take (after this semester) before I can apply for the nursing program.

I got a new sunbeam class at church, which has been an adventure.  The kids are so full of energy and extremely difficult to keep focused.  Class usually consists of snacks, a brief mention of Jesus, and kids scaling the walls, chairs, and tables.

My favorite part of the year so far has been going up to Logan to see two of my bestest friends.  Hailey and Tessa both play on the Utah State soccer team, so I decided to go visit them.  It was only a couple of days but I had such a fun time.  We made videos, took pictures and had plenty of awkward moments.

We all ate dinner at a different table.

Are you dating anyone?

I have gotten this question so many times in the last month.
It shouldn't bug me that people ask, but it does. I am twenty, so I should obviously be married with a child by now. Every time someone asks it gets super awkward, like I am wasting my precious life away.
Lets get everything straight.

I am not dating anyone.
I am not dating period.
I am not thinking about flowers and dresses for my future wedding.
I am not thinking of baby names for my nonexistent children.
I am not crying myself to sleep waiting for my prince regular man to come.
I am not wondering what is wrong with me. I know perfectly well my faults and I am okay with them.

I am not apposed to dating, but I am also not going to sit on my ass waiting for that special someone to sweep me off my feet, take all of my problems away and make my life perfect (extreme sarcasm). I have things to do and goals to accomplish.
