The first day we went to Disneyland which I hadn't been to since I was little. I couldn't believe how many things there were to do and see. I could write a whole post on that day alone but I am far too lazy.
Here are a few highlights:
Pirates of the Caribbean ride. It was cool and dark which was a nice break from the heat and it also had two Jack Sparrow characters that looked just like Johnny Depp, it took a lot for me not to jump ship and tackle the wax figure.
Screaming. Everyone knows that I love to scream LOUD. Needless to say Steven and I screamed a lot getting a few pretty concerned looks especially on the not so crazy rides.
Cream cheese pretzel. No words can accurately describe this, it was amazing.
Next we headed over to California Adventure, which was incredible. There were less kids and fewer parents with that defeated look on their faces. I found out that my Disney character is the Queen of Hearts which definitely wasn't Jasmine, who is my personal favorite. I don't have the body for that outfit that she wears-I think Walt knew this and so I was assigned someone who wears more clothing. We walked through Cars land which was amazing. Everything there had a huge line so we didn't go on any rides but just walking through it and having Lighting McQueen drive past us was pretty kewl. We went on lots of other rides and ate some pretty damn good food at the happiest place on earth.
The night ended with an incredible water and light show called The World of Color. In the middle of California Adventure, there is a giant pond with a ton of water fountains that they do a light show with every evening. It was breath taking. They project clips from many different Disney movies onto the fountains along with music that plays throughout the park. I pretty much butchered how cool it was (like everything I try to explain) but you can look it up on YouTube.
The next day we took it easy and went shopping, to the beach and watched a movie. I then showed Steven and his roommates my new obsession, Burning Love which is a spoof on The Bachelor. (It's very raunchy so don't watch it if you are easily offended)

Thursday was my favorite day. Steven had to work for a bit so I visited him at the quaint little vintage shop where he works. He picked out some ridiculous outfits for me to try in between helping customers.
After he got of work, we headed to the museum of death. Steven and I both have a sick obsession with serial killers and all things grotesque. The museum was filled with pictures of and artwork from various serial killers. There were different rooms that focused on capital punishment, cults, autopsies, cannibalism, taxidermy and much more. It was a bit overwhelming how much stuff there was to look at and read. They had actual crime scene photos which were a bit nauseating, but fascinating at the same time.
After the museum we got sushi, which was a first for me. I was hesitant at first, but after trying it I really enjoyed it!
On Friday we went to Warped Tour with Steven's friend Savannah. I had never been to Warped tour before and it was quite the experience! It was full of crazies who were smoking weed and punching each other. Although I didn't really know any of the bands or the music, I had a blast just watching people and acting like a freak. The last band we watched things got a bit craycray. People were crowd surfing left and right and we were crammed together like sardines. In a matter of a few seconds I got kicked in the head three times. A lovely stranger grabbed me and hugged me asking if I was okay. A minute later...bam kicked again. Between the numerous kicks and lack of oxygen I became a bit light headed and distant. The walk to the car was a bit of a blur, but I'm a survivor!
Saturday was my last day:( I woke up feeling the effects of the day before. Steven and I both felt like we had been hit by a train and run over by a truck. We got breakfast and spent the day on the beach moping around and groaning in our pain. Then it was time for me to return home:((
I had such a blast in California, thanks Steven!!
