happi

It's finals week and I'm looking for any excuse not to study. I've already finished all my shopping, cleaning, and laundry to avoid the inevitable. I figure I might as well post on here while I'm procrastinating.

So here's what's new....
I moved to Salt Lake with one of my bestest friends Mel and her dog Evie. The pups have had a rough time adjusting to each other. Evie had to get 8 staples after a fight with Lucy #notgreat

Nursing school is painful but it's nice to finally have a plan. Thankfully I met some pretty fun people this semester that made things a little more bearable.

        Mimosas after our last class

I've started playing soccer with some of my old teammates and it has been a blast. I'm pretty rusty but it has been amazing to hangout and goof off with some of my all-time favorites.

Things that make me happy:

I've surrounded myself with people who love and support me.
Broad City.
My job is slowing down finally.
Lucy.
I was honest with someone who hurt me.
I know what I'm doing with my life (well sort of).
Summer is coming.

Everything isn't perfect but for the first time in a long time I am happy

Twerk It

I have to say that I work with some of the best people errr.  The hospital is filled with screaming kids and bodily fluids which is less than glamorous. Luckilly my coworkers keep it fun. There is always something different going on that involves our CMU family. While at work everyone is extremely professional but once we leave Primary's we know how to have a good time. Sleepovers, mud runs, house party's, camping, boating, drinks or snapchating at 3am....

...we always have a blast!

Love these peeps.

KP3

I am terrible at keeping surprises to myself. I feel like Kristin Wiig on SNL, I'm ready to jump out the window because I can't contain my excitement. Maybe writing about it will help me from spoiling the birthday surprise for my niece Mae.
My sister Bri and I love Katy Perry, we've been to two of her concerts and they were both amazing. Mae caught on to our obsession, which we had to scale back when Mae's dad caught her singing, "I want to see your peacock-cock-cock!" Car rides aren't complete without a few loud off key renditions of Firework or TGIF.  Ever since Mae learned that Katy travels around the world singing she has insisted that she get to go to a concert.  Mae will turn 8 this September and two days later we will be going to see Katy Perry!  The goal is to keep it a secret and give her the ticket on her birthday, so far she has no clue. Hopefully I can keep it together until then.

NEW TA-TA'S.

Best thing ever: I had my boobies reduced!

They were so disgustingly enormous that my insurance paid for the surgery.  No more constant backaches or having to wear Oprah's special sports bra for big black gurls. I never thought I would be able to wear a bandeau or a normal bathing suit, but now I'm ready to take on the world with my perky new tits.

strange things.

Learning the truth isn't always easy. The part I'm having trouble with is not having anyone to blame for the way I feel. I keep thinking that if somebody was responsible, it would be easier to cope with, although I know that it wouldn't change anything.
I'm mad at myself for being naive and I'm frustrated with the sudden changes that have been thrown at me. I'm coming to terms that I need to let it go, but it's much harder than I ever imagined.  Things will never be the same, and that is incredibly hard for me accept.
